Somnus has been a UK bed brand since 1840 and now sits at the top of the Harrison Spinks family. They are known for exceptionally high spring counts and a real focus on natural, sustainable fillings. Somnus are completely glue and foam free which is not only better to sleep on but also allows full recycling at end of life. This may sound easy but it took lots of research to be able to create beds that are fantastic to sleep on but also good for the environment; Thermic welding of the springs allows glue free construction and natural chemical free fire retardancy is achieved as well. We have visited the Somnus factory and farm which allows us to see how much goes into each mattress, not just the thousands of springs, sumptuous layers of natural fillings but also the years of hand crafting expertise. The farm allows Somnus to supply large amounts of their own Flax, Hemptex, Wool and Wood for the bases, reducing the transport miles for construction.  Somnus offer luxurious comfort and incredible support, especially when paired with a luxury sprung base.
